 WHAT IS NURSING SOCIETY?

Nursing Society is the representative body for all students in the Collaborative Nursing Program at the University of Windsor. We strive to make the post-secondary experience as memorable as possible by organizing fun events to help students connect with each other. We also value community relations; we constantly are looking for new opportunities to give back through our philanthropic projects and outreach. Nursing Society hopes to have a positive impact on all students and ensure they feel supported on their journey through nursing.

BIPOC EDUCATION RESOURCES

In healthcare, it is extremely important to understand patients' lives from a holistic viewpoint by considering other aspects of health including social and cultural factors that impact care. To provide culturally-competent care, we must constantly educate ourselves about other cultural values and experiences.

Join us in our efforts to be more informed on how past and present history impacts the health of those around us and reduce negative experiences that racialized individuals experience in our healthcare system.

The University of Windsor sits on the traditional territory of the Three Fires Confederacy of First Nations, which includes the Anishinaabwe, the Odawa, and the Potawatomie. We acknowledge both land and water as well as treaties pertaining to this territory. We also acknowledge the Haudenosaunee who we share this territory with. We respect the longstanding relationships with First Nations people in this place in the 100-mile Windsor-Essex peninsula and the straits, le-detroits of Detroit.
